Travel Team

This is a really good book so far! I can't wait till the end. There aren't to many things happening at once, so it's not confusing. Read it!

HOOPS by Walter Deam Myers

Hoops is about an 18 year old boy named Lonnie Jackson. He and his friends Ox and Paul join a local basketball team called the Alvin Aily Dancers. Their team enters a tournament called the tournament of champions so they can hopefully get spotted by scouts and get a college scholarship. Lonnie has had a tough life and  works a part time job at a small hotel named the Grant and spends a night there for free when he gets stressed out at home. This is a good book with alot of suspence and i would reocoment it to readers who like basketball.

Summer Ball

I thought that the book Summer Ball by Mike Lupica was a very good book! This book was filled with excitement, sadness, worry, and a lot more. The main character of this book is Danny Walker. Danny is going to camp! It is called Camp Rightway! Danny has an awesome time playing basketball. Unfortunetly some things get mixed up causeing some trouble. But Danny meets new friends because of it. While Danny is at camp, he meets back with some old   rivals. Danny also has some trouble with the coaches, causing him to feeling alittle down. I think that you should read this book if you like basketball, because this book is filled with it!

Friday Night Lights

I've never liked sport books. But starting to read the novel "Friday Night Lights" by H.G. Bissinger interested me. The story line is about this small-town football team in Odessa, Texas. In Odessa, football is everything. Even if you don't like football, you liked the team.
When big player, Boobie Miles gets injured, they need to find a replacement, FAST, for the big game coming up.
So far, I have enjoyed the book, even though I haven't finished it yet.

The Kid From Tomkinsville

I thought it was very dull and boring. And the people talked like they were from the 50's so i didnt care for it at all. Kenneth K '11

HEAT

I like this book because it was very much in detail of what was going on.
It was a book about baseball which I thought was very awsome
and fun. Michael is a very confused and upset most of the time but when he got on the feild
it didn't matter

Spike it!

i read this book for a sports genre and i liked it. It was about a girl and her sister who thier dad traveled alot and the day before he came home from New York he called the girls and said that he had to tell them something. There dad came home and Jamies little sister ran out to her dad and he started to tell her because he couldnt hold it in anymore read this book to find out the news and what happpens after the news!

Crackback by John Coy

If you like exciting books about football, this is the book you should read. The main character Miles is facing troubles during the football season and is also worried about getting a date  to the homecoming dance. Through all these things he has to persevere and make it through. It had an ending that kept you thinking  afterwards, and made you come up with different situations that could've come up after all of it.

Dive Right In By: Matt Christopher is the book that i read for the sports genre. I thought it was great because it taught you to have courage and to get over your fear.  I think that it was a great book to read if you like sports books.
