This book was one of my favorites. The bokk starts out with Christi a kid with aspergers( when you cant have emotions and sometimes you just have a melt down out of no were). Then her 16 year old brother Devon is shot and killed by one of her friends brothers. Though the book you see her get over her aspergers and over come her fear of having friends. This was also a national book award book.

My Name is America: a journal of Patrick Seamus Flaherty
the book was a little too boring but after people started dying in the book from the NVA and the VC from ammo hitting them and grenades and mortars hitting them, it got real gripping. i loved the bond of all the charectors like MM, Bebop, Hollywood, Motormouth. awesome boook reccomended to everyone who loves a good story of friendship but reccomended to older ages for some content.

Number the Stars
Bravery - what so many main characters in books seem to have, and what so many "real people" think they lack. Young Annemarie in Lois Lowry's Number the Stars doesn't quite feel that way, though. She actually is glad that she doesn't have to be brave, because she is just "ordinary people." Unfortunately for her, she lives in Denmark in 1940 - and her best friend is Jewish. Annemarie learns that true bravery comes doing what needs to be done, no matter what the cost, no matter what type of person you are.
Although Lowry's protagonist is young, she faces up to challenges that would make many adults balk in fear. Lowry does not sugar-coat the horrors of war and the Holocaust, but presents them through the eyes of a child...as told to her by a friend who did live through what Annemarie did. The story is understandable by younger children, but will best be appreciated by older children, who have a greater background knowledge of World War II.

Behind the Wall
Hi, the book that I read was Behind the Wall. The Story takes place in 1940s Germany. There is a girl named Korrina. She is part of a Jungmadel or a Nazi Youth Group. Her parents are hidding a Jewish family in a small room behind Korrina's Room. The Kruggmans with Sop, Sophie, Ruth(Who is only mentioned and dies) and a small girl named Rachel. They are hiding behind Korrina's bedroom and the more and more that they are there the more Korrina is sorry for the Jews and likes them. I Like the book for its suspision and you will have to read to find out what happens.

The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
This was a good book. It's a series more for kids, but still held suspense. It's about these three kids who become orphans and get taken to their bad uncle who wants to kill them for their money. Instead, the story twists when the uncle tries to trick the oldest into marrying him for the fortune. When he is caught, he runs away and isn't found.

This book is about a girl named Nelly who is spending the summer with her grandmother. She loves to do chemisty. She wanted her grandmother to be young again.
Skinnybones by Barbara Park
This is a good book about a kid who has no athletic skills. It has rivalry between classmates and ends well with the main character winning a contest for being funny.

Sabotaged
This book was a real action packed book. I very much enjoyed this book and the rest of the serious. It had alot of twist and turns i never saw coming espically at the end of the book. This book talked mostly about the lost coloney of Ronake as Jonah and his sister Katherain tried to get thier friend Andrea back to her real time. Alan O. 2012

Point Blank
Point Blank is a book that 14 year old Alex Rider, who works for Military Intelligance Agency 6 or as in the James Bond movies MI6, he goes from England to France where he meets a new family to cover him from authorities and while he is there, he almosts gets shot by the girl's friends, and saves her from getting run over by a freight train. when he is sent to a "prison school" called Point Blanc or white point in french. where he witnesses kids being cloned and violent shootings and runs away from 2 snowmobilles, off a ski jump, and on to a train where he is picked up by the Military Intelegance agency the 6th branch. very very suspenseful and an easy 230 page, 2 day read for points. :)
Bunnicula
I thought this book was sort of boring. I really don't know what to think about Bunnicula, but Chester's theory sounds pretty good to me.

Companions of the Night
This book is really good! It's about a girl who gets caught up with vampires and the only way out is to find her family. The book is a little violent but it doesn't over exaggerate it at all. Hope anyone who reads this will try it! :)

Are you ready for a laugh-out-loud version of the spooktakular? Then James and Deborah Howe's series about the vampire bunny is one you'll definitely want to check out! From the snappy dialogue to the hilarious mistakes of one high-strung cat, this book is a joy from beginning to end. And best of all, there are lots more in the series!

Hoops
This book was good for the basketball part and the championship. It was very predicable. You mean the main character goes to the championship, has to make a decision to throw the game, or win the championship but never be able to play in the NBA. Hmm Hmm, Oh wait you got it to. Horrible Plot and Rated T for illegal useage, and swearing.

Rookie of the year
This was a very good book. The thing that made this book so enjoyable was the never quite attitude of the team. The thing I learned from this book was how mad the manger got so hard on the young talent of the team but, by showing his angery really helped the team. It must have been hard because the manger Spike Russel is also the young shortstop for the Brooklyn Dodgers. The team in just two months came from last to first to make the playoffs. Alan O '12

The Boy Who Saved Baseball
If you are a fan of sports books with a quirky twist to them, then you need to read this book by John H. Ritter. It is filled with sports talk as a local baseball team becomes responsible for the fate of the entire town. Ritter has a lot of fun inventing new words to describe the action, and his vivid language choices only enhance the action. The ending of the book is really unexpected.
The best part of the book is the richness with which Ritter develops each of the main characters. They seem to jump off the page, they are that realistic.
