The Boy Who Saved Baseball

If you are a fan of sports books with a quirky twist to them, then you need to read this book by John H. Ritter. It is filled with sports talk as a local baseball team becomes responsible for the fate of the entire town. Ritter has a lot of fun inventing new words to describe the action, and his vivid language choices only enhance the action. The ending of the book is really unexpected.

The best part of the book is the richness with which Ritter develops each of the main characters. They seem to jump off the page, they are that realistic.

I thought that that the Boy Who Savved Baseball was a pretty bad book, I thought this because the protagonist, Tom was pretty interesting in a special sort of way. He was interesting because he wrote in a thing called a dreamschetcher (pretty special)
he also has no idea how to express himself

I can't believe that Cruz actually ran away. I thought that he would have stayed and won the game for them. It is unbelieveable.

I groaned when I found out we were reading a baseball book, since I am not the biggest fan of sports. I was pleasantly surprised when the charaters seemed to jump off the page, John Ritter not only describes the sights and sounds, but also the feelings and emotions of the team as they fight to save their beloved baseball field. With so many twists and turns, you won't be able to put this book down!

I kind of liked this book. It was so surprising at the end. I would never have guessed that was how the book was going to end.

This book deffinatley surprised me in many ways with all the unexpected events. Altogether I found the general plot easy to predict, but I was not let down with the ending chapters.

If you like baseball I would strongly advise you to read this. Even though I dont like Baseball I still really liked this book. It has funny sayings, and it I like the crazy, fun, and exciting way they end it.

I thought I would'nt like this book when Miss G started reading it to us. I ended up not paying attention to the first 2 chapters of the book. Once we had gotten into it a bit more, I ended up liking it. This book definately kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what will happen next. It was kind of predicatable at some points. Overall, it was a good book.

When our teacher told us that we were going to read a book about baseball, I thought that it would be like all the other books about baseball. But after we read it in class i realized that the book was about more. It was one of the best books that i have ever read. This book taught me that no matter what the case is if you love something you should do it.

I thought that the book was good for the most part, but when Doc died it was sad.The author should tell why Cruz left.

I read the boy who Saved baseball. It is about a guy named Tom who went to the Dillontown baseball camp. A dude named Cruz showed up and was amazing at baseball. Tom needed to save Dillontown and the only way that he could do that was by winning the big game. Also they needed a proper coach so they went to go find Dante Del Gato the famous baseball. At the end they win the big game bt Doc dies. The end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an ok book. The author was John Ritter. I liked it because it was aout baseball. #Paul R 13
