This book was great. It showed how two kids managed to save there town. this city is underground and there might be a blackout forever. Read this book how two smart kids. Know how to get outve the City of Ember
and its also a movie now. So read it and see it.

I totally agree!! i love this also!! the movies absolutly great!!i saw it and was dazzled!! You should totally read this because Lena and Doon go on an epic adventure!! Lena finds a map to get out of the city.. but before she can do that she has to tell everyone!! Read it !! its so awesome!!

For those of you who have both read the book and seen the movie, did the movie accurately represent your vision of what Ember looked like? I thought it did a fantastic job of showing what the city would look like after existing over a hundred years past its "expiration date" - everything was falling apart.
The one difference I noted was the suggestion of the mutated huge bugs and animals. Other than needing a new way of getting rid of the mayor, all of that could very well have been left out.
